The Michigan City Young Professionals (MCYP) is the Michigan City Chamber’s hub for young professionals looking to connect, grow, and succeed. MCYP provides opportunities to build a personal and professional network, enhance your career, and make a meaningful impact on the community.
Membership is open to anyone who lives, learns, works, or plays in the Michigan City area. While MCYP primarily serves individuals ages 21–45, all are welcome to participate. Regular attendance at MCYP events is the only requirement for membership, and participation is free of charge. Some events or programs may have an associated cost, but participation is always voluntary.
Throughout the year, MCYP hosts get-to-know-you happy hours, professional development sessions, and many other events. Each year, MCYP partners with a Spotlight Organization, a local nonprofit, to raise awareness and support through volunteer efforts, fundraising opportunities, and a Day of Giving.
The 2026 Spotlight Organization is The Salvation Army of Michigan City. The Salvation Army has been meeting human needs without discrimination since 1865. From our iconic annual Red Kettle Campaign to our wide variety of available programs that serve local communities, we are dedicated to serving our neighbors in need.
MCYP is always looking to expand their committee. If you, or someone in your business is interested in joining MCYP, CLICK HERE to email Liz Pina.
